One row of an N = 3, d = 2 attention, played in slow motion — in the full machine, every row of S runs its own private copy of this notebook, all at once. Scores arrive one frame at a time, each holding hands with its ingredient v; the notebook commits early and repairs itself. Two strokes per frame: repair the past, then admit the newcomer.
The whole world: a 3 × 3 score matrix and a 3 × 2 shelf. The clinic watches one row — token 2's questionnaire, highlighted — and because every asker shops the whole shelf, all three ingredient rows ride along. Rows 1 and 3 run their own identical notebooks elsewhere; we follow this one.
Press step. The first stroke repairs the past (empty, so nothing happens); the second admits the newcomer. Repair before admission — always, in that order.
